Serfaus, a charming alpine village in Tyrol, situated at 1427 m above sea level, it is famous its family-friendly ski slopes. Serfaus was one of the first Alpine villages to embrace “gentle mobility” by banning cars in the center as far back as 1985. This bold move preserved its peaceful character and reduced pollution — a decision that still makes the air here crisp and clean.
Fun fact: Maintains 2,000+ hours of sunshine annually (bring sunglasses!)

the climb up is relatively easy
The location of Seealm Hög is at the mid-station of the Alpkopf cable car makes it super accessible. Around the Högsee lake, there’s a summer adventure playground for families known as the Hög Adventure Park.
Serfaus has perfected the art of balance. In winter, it’s a skier’s paradise with hundreds of kilometers of perfectly groomed pistes. In summer, it turns into a hiker’s dream, with wildflower meadows and trails that wind up to panoramic summits. The village is family-oriented yet sophisticated, rustic yet modern. It even has its own tiny underground train — a futuristic quirk that whisks visitors around the car-free center without disturbing its quiet charm.
